The Baptist Confession of Faith

CHAPTER 16
OF GOOD WORKS

Paragraph 7. Works done by unregenerate men, although for the matter of them they may be things which God commands, and of good use both to themselves and others; yet because they proceed not from a heart purified by faith, nor are done in a right manner according to the word, nor to a right end, the glory of God, they are therefore sinful, and cannot please God, nor make a man meet to receive grace from God, and yet their neglect of them is more sinful and displeasing to God.

The Baptist Catechism

Q.9: How many persons are there in the Godhead?
A. There are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one God, the same in essence, equal in power and glory.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.               2 Corinthians 13:14

Q.6: What things are chiefly contained in the Holy Scriptures?
A. The Holy Scriptures chiefly contain what man ought to believe concerning God, and what duty God requires of man.

Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.       2 Timothy 1:13

And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
